This pic was one that was also long in the making. I had many of the leaves for almost a decade having collected them and pressed them when I was in Seattle. At the time I didn’t know what I was going to do with them but I liked the variation in color between the top and bottom.
Not long ago I decided I was going to find a way to work with them. I played around with a few different ideas but ultimately found myself drawn back to the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, that landscape.
The leaves have been attached with a thick layer of medium. Then I covered them with glue (oddly enough) that made the medium shine less.
The picture has been with me for a while but seemed purposeful to let it go. Sometimes we gotta.
